Happiness!
A downloadable game for Windows
You just got finished playing at your friend's house across the street and come home to find your parent sad and in their own world on the living room couch. Unsure of what to do, you go to bed and fall away into Dreamland. But something is wrong! Here too the denizens of your dream are upset. It is up to you to right what's gone wrong from across Dreamland all the way back home.
Happiness! is our first released game from way back in 2012. The concept stemmed from that of being an Anti-Mario, where stomping monsters is bad and giving them hugs is good. Made in Construct 2, it was originally released as an in-browser HTML5 game on the now-defunct bluekeygames.com site. After the initial release, the game went through a "demake" revision to both bring it more in line with NES aesthetics and to fix a few issues. Hard times eventually led to taking the site down, and the game itself was lost to the ages. UNTIL NOW!
After curiosity led to a reinstallation of Construct 2 and combing through the Blue Key Games archives, Happiness! was found and (slightly) bug fixed to be (mostly) functional on today's tech! (NOTE: the "Close" action seems to be broken in Construct 2's node webkit implementation with no known fix. As a workaround, it will minimize the screen allowing you to close out of the game manually, or alternatively close out with Alt+F4.)
EXPECT TO EXPERIENCE THESE EXCITING FEATURES!
