They Came From Dimension X Demo - Happy Halloween!


The demo for They Came From Dimension X has been updated! I've done a complete rewrite of the entire game from GDScript to C++ / GDNative. I've also been able to add some new features in that time, biggest of all: the Save / Load system!

A lot of work went into trying to optimize the performance as much as possible. I know there are some things that I could probably still do, but I'm hoping that those of you who had issues running the game previously will now be able to play with no issues.

The demo map has also gotten an extreme revamp. While many of the beats of the previous version are still there, they come with new approaches. Navigating the temple halls now allows for more freedom of exploration. While not a perfect solution, onboarding has been improved with various trigger messages to help players better understand the intentions and mechanics of the game.

All that is to say, a lot of intense focused work went on across the past 2 months to bring you all the experience I wanted the initial release to be. At least, I hope it is. Guess we'll find out! Good luck, Explorers!
